Toodyay Ballet School has been operating in the wheatbelt now for 14 years.
In that time we have also had classes conducted in Wongan Hills ,Gidgegannup ,Bencubbin ,Calingiri and Toodyay District High School.
We offer classes in Classical Ballet ( Cecchetti Method) ,jazz , tap , stretching,acrobatics and hip hop.Catering for children as young as 3yrs (we have had them as young as 2 )and as old as 70!
One of the most enjoyable classes for the week is the adults who all come together on a Tuesday lunchtime. These women are always a favourite at the concert and have returned ( as well as some new starters) to improve on what they have learned.
We have enjoyed 100% exam pass results for the last 12years and numerous competition wins in Perth and WA suburbs.Our most recent exam results saw every single student who entered receive the highest possible mark!!! This was reflected in the WA State medal test held for all students entering exams for 2008 in Perth and surrounding areas.We had Madelyn Sheahan win the Grade 2 level with Isla Cooke as runner-up,Annaliese Arthur win the grade 3 medal ,Rhyce Toovey win the Grade 4 level medal with Holly Howard HM and Kate Arber win the Gde 5 medal with Bonnie McGeady HM.This is a fabulous achievement for a small country school considering our children traveled to Perth for the day to compete against Perth schools.
